Mewartakan Injil Lewat Kasih: Inspirasi Vinsensius dalam Terang Evangelii Gaudium
Abstract
The modern age is characterized by a deep existential crisis due to man's disconnection from his transcendent dimension. The void of meaning makes the Gospel a faint voice amidst the cacophony of the world. In this context, Evangelii Gaudium calls for pastoral and missionary conversion, so that the Church becomes a community that reaches out to the marginalized. This call finds a strong echo in the spirituality of Vincent. He lived the Gospel in the form of concrete charity and solidary service. He not only saw the poor as objects of charity, but as the face of Christ himself. This paper highlights the relevance of Vincent's spirituality as a real praxis of the spirit of Evangelii Gaudium. With a qualitative approach through a literature study, this paper presents that the service of incarnated love is the most authentic form of evangelization. The church today is called to live out spirituality such as prioritizing love, real presence, and siding with the little ones as a form of repentance and contextual witness of faith.
